CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERINTENDENT

      • 5+ years of direct field experience supervising and implementing civil construction projects. Project types include: Landfill Cell Construction, Capping, Earthmoving, Pits, Ponds, Lagoons & Wetland Construction.
      • Experience planning, organizing, directing and controlling large scale earthmoving projects.

HAZWOPER/ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

Reports to: Industrial Services Manager/Dispatcher/Project Manager/Project Foreman

Primary Responsibility: Waste/Wastewater Management/Industrial Cleaning/Manual Labor

Required Training:
New Employee Orientation, HAZWOPER 40 Hour, Daily/Weekly Safety Meetings

Position Duties:
Performs operation waste collection, containerization, management and associated functions. Performs general manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER and industrial/commercial waste management operations.

Physical Requirements:
Must have ability to wear a tight fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing. Position requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes and weights including bending, lifting, pushing and pulling drums, totes and containers; handling of tank truck hoses. May occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently lift 40-50 pounds. Frequently climbs ladders, stairs, etc. May use hand manual and power hand tools hand shovel with exposure to noise and vibration. Periodic to frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment. Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions and woodland, streamside and swampland flora and fauna. May work up to 12 hours per day, seven days per week.

Required PPE:
USEPA Level B, C or D: Tight-fitting, air-purifying respirator, hard hat, safety glasses with side-shields, steel-toe safety shoes/chemical protective footwear, ear plugs, leather and chemical work gloves, chemical protective clothing, and other as required by specific task.

FLEET MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

Position is based out of Shamrock Environmental Corporation’s headquarters in Browns Summit, NC.

Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Fleet maintenance software/data management systems (JJ Keller Encompass or similar) is preferred.
  • 3 or more years of the Fleet maintenance related experience is required.
  • A background in transportation, construction equipment, logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • Must be an effective communicator, team player and detail focused.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain the company’s new Fleet maintenance data management system.
  • Identify essential recordkeeping and data collection requirements.
  • Develop compliance and cost reports for Fleet Manager and Management team.
  • Track compliance records of company owned or leased equipment, titles, permits, tags, licenses, etc.
  • Track all maintenance activities, compliance records and costs associated with company owned or leased Fleet vehicles.
  • Provide internal training as required to support data management system.
  • Verify and audit Fleet data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist Fleet Manager with cost tracking and management associated with Fleet maintenance program.

PROJECT COST CONTROLS & SCHEDULE

Shamrock has an excellent career opportunity for a Projects Cost & Schedule lead for our Civil & Streams Restoration/Wetland Construction Business Unit.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, accounting or finance required.
  • 5-7 years of previous experience in one of the following areas; project cost analyst; cost accounting; project estimating/schedule development.
  • Experience in construction, land development or highway/roadway industry is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Products with proven ability to develop & maintain complex spreadsheets & databases.
  • Proficient in Primavera or MS Project.
  • Must be an effective oral & written communicator internally & externally to organization, suppliers & customers.
  • Ability to analyze, compile, organize, review, document, verify, investigate & resolve inconsistencies in project costs for multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, analyze and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts & costs with Project Managers.
  • Responsible for conducting ongoing analysis of job costing and schedule for multiple projects.
  • Ensure all vendor and supplier Purchase Orders (PO) and subcontract agreements are issued & executed at, or under, budget.
  • Compare commitments to budgets. Investigate potential over/under budget items and job coding accuracy.
  • Review Job Cost Detail reports with Project Managers to identify items for correction, open commitments, over/under budget items, job coding accuracy, schedule revisions, etc.
  • Review, update & maintain project schedules.
  • Assist Project Managers with subcontract agreements.
  • Review daily labor & equipment production reports for multiple projects.
  • Prepare job accruals, financial reports, budgets, reconciliations and cost analysis summary for Business Unit Manager.
