INDUSTRIAL SERVICES BRANCH MANAGER

The Industrial Services Branch Manager will be responsible for all aspects of  maintaining a profitable satellite Industrial Services operation in the Richmond, Virginia market.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

          • All aspects of managing an existing office including hiring, training, business development, assisting sales staff with business development and identifying opportunities, staff evaluations and discipline.
          • Scheduling and maintenance of personnel and equipment
          • Implement administrative requirements for projects to include estimating, contracts, manifests, invoicing and other project documentation.
          • Branch Office and Project P & L responsibility
          • Assist project development with site reviews and estimating projects
          • On Call 24/7 for emergency response
          • Commitment to implementation of effective Health, Safety and Environmental compliance policies and procedures

Prior experience requirements:

          • 5 or more years in the Environmental Industry
          • Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA and related regulations associated with waste management, spill response and cleanup
          • 2+ years prior P & L responsibility
          • Previous experience in a successful Branch Manager and/or Operations Manager position in the Environmental or Industrial Services Industry
          • BS degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered

Some overnight travel will be required

HAZWOPER/ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

Reports to: Industrial Services Manager/Dispatcher/Project Manager/Project Foreman

Primary Responsibility: Waste/Wastewater Management/Industrial Cleaning/Manual Labor

Required Training:
New Employee Orientation, HAZWOPER 40 Hour, Daily/Weekly Safety Meetings

Position Duties:
Performs operation waste collection, containerization, management and associated functions. Performs general manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER and industrial/commercial waste management operations.

Physical Requirements:
Must have ability to wear a tight fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing. Position requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes and weights including bending, lifting, pushing and pulling drums, totes and containers; handling of tank truck hoses. May occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently lift 40-50 pounds. Frequently climbs ladders, stairs, etc. May use hand manual and power hand tools hand shovel with exposure to noise and vibration. Periodic to frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment. Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions and woodland, streamside and swampland flora and fauna. May work up to 12 hours per day, seven days per week.

Required PPE:
USEPA Level B, C or D: Tight-fitting, air-purifying respirator, hard hat, safety glasses with side-shields, steel-toe safety shoes/chemical protective footwear, ear plugs, leather and chemical work gloves, chemical protective clothing, and other as required by specific task.

COST AND BILLING SPECIALIST

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business is preferred, not required.
  • General accounting & bookkeeping experience in a construction, site development or roadway/highway environment is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating and working with field office locations.
  • Experience in construction, land development or highway/roadway industry is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Products. (excel, word, etc.). Background with Primavera or MS Project is a plus.
  • Must be an effective oral & written communicator internally & externally to organization, suppliers & customers.
  • Ability to organize, compile, review, document, verify, & resolve inconsistencies in project costs and paperwork.
  • Customer service oriented and detail focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all vendor and supplier Purchase Orders (PO) are issued at or under budget.
  • Obtain, review, apply and edit all job cost codes for each project.
  • Confirm PO # is on invoice, invoice has correct quantity, job cost code, contract prices, total cost; verify and approve invoices for payment with Project Manager and accounting.
  • Review Job Cost Detail reports with PMs to identify items for correction and help identify invalid open commitments, over/under budget items, and duration issues (hotels, labor, per diem, fuel, and equipment in particular) on a weekly basis as scheduled with PM’s.
  • Secure, organize and manage daily Labor and Equipment Production reports from field.
  • Coordinate invoicing, payables, receivables, etc. with accounting.

FLEET MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

Position is based out of Shamrock Environmental Corporation’s headquarters in Browns Summit, NC.

Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Fleet maintenance software/data management systems (JJ Keller Encompass or similar) is preferred.
  • 3 or more years of the Fleet maintenance related experience is required.
  • A background in transportation, construction equipment, logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • Must be an effective communicator, team player and detail focused.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain the company’s new Fleet maintenance data management system.
  • Identify essential recordkeeping and data collection requirements.
  • Develop compliance and cost reports for Fleet Manager and Management team.
  • Track compliance records of company owned or leased equipment, titles, permits, tags, licenses, etc.
  • Track all maintenance activities, compliance records and costs associated with company owned or leased Fleet vehicles.
  • Provide internal training as required to support data management system.
  • Verify and audit Fleet data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist Fleet Manager with cost tracking and management associated with Fleet maintenance program.
