Shamrock receives and processes non-hazardous drums, totes, cubic yard boxes, pails and other containers. We also provide ISO container services. Items are transported to one of our network facilities for cleaning and treatment, depending on type of waste. Liquids, solids and sludges are separated, recovered residuals are captured and containerized for recycling or disposal
Liquids that can be processed go through wastewater treatment or are recovered, recycled and reused. Non-processable liquids, solids and sludges are solidified and disposed of in accordance with customer requirements. Common disposal options are waste to energy, land application, recycling, composting, or landfill.
In the Mid-Atlantic region, an optional step is using a specialized shredder capable of processing a range of waste materials, like paper, metal, glass and sludges.
